The vendor’s installation guide currently states macOS 15 or later, while the pricing page shows an older macOS 14.4 note. Check the current installer’s requirements for your Mac; some local enhancement features also have additional hardware requirements.

Saylo supports Apple Silicon Macs with macOS 14 or later. Its current beta is free and uncapped. Planned pricing after beta keeps a 2,000-word weekly Free tier and offers Pro at CA$7.99 monthly or CA$79 yearly on up to three personal Macs. Billing is not live.

Choose the workflow you want to keep

Explore VoiceInk if you want selectable models and modes, a persistent local transcript history, and optional enhancement tools. Check which features use a cloud provider.

Explore Saylo if a short-lived recovery history and a focused, local dictation beta fit your work. Its local-certificate beta opening restrictions and editor compatibility still matter.

Try the same passage in your actual note or chat editor. Make a correction, move the cursor, and test recovery after a missed insertion. This guide does not claim a tested speed or accuracy advantage for either app.
